Beautiful and detailed antique French map of Africa from the year 1876. On the one hand the map is very detailed, on the other hand the open spots on the map also clearly show that not the entire continent had been mapped. The map is originally colored by hand. Nice wide margins and very suitable for framing.
Dimensions: 48 x 60 cm
Condition: Map has some minor signs of age and use, but is in good overall condition. Corners at top are missing. Dog-ear at bottom left. Very small (few mm) tear at bottom of centrefold. Just to the left of it also a very small (few mm) tear in the bottom margin.
