For sale is a beautiful large antique world map from the year 1761 with Asia as the center. This more than 260 year old French map shows the world in Mercator projection. The west coast of America and the coast ofAustralia are not yet filled in on the map. The title of the map is 'Pour les vents' and the French text in the side panels is about wind.Around a decorative border.
Dimensions: 39 x 55.5 cm
Condition: Small black spot above the title, otherwise in very good condition. Published with centerfold.
