Beautiful antique map of South America from 1876. Patagonia is still an independent area on this map. At the bottom are inset maps of Galapagos, Hawaii, the southern Shetland Islands, Saint Paul and Trinity Island. It is a French map and the prime meridian therefore runs over Paris and not over Greenwich as on all modern maps. Beautiful decorative title. Wide margins and very suitable for framing.

Condition: good / very good. Corners bumped, paper lightly tanned, otherwise in very good condition. Issued with centerfold.
